Materials
14kt Gold Fill: A thick layer of solid 14kt gold that is heat and pressure bonded to a center core of high quality jeweler’s brass. “Gold-Filled” is a USA industry standard that legally requires 1/20th, or 5% pure gold by weight. With proper care, 14kt gold fill will last just as long as solid 14kt gold. It will not chip or tarnish and is a great option for those with metal allergies including nickel.
Sterling Silver: Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and is considered a precious metal. It’s a durable, lightweight, long-lasting alloy that is perfect for everyday wear. We use .925 certified Sterling Silver.
Oxidized silver: is sterling silver, but its surface has been intentionally darkened by introducing it to a chemical process. This patina, a surface color that occurs when the silver is introduced to sulfides, is a sped-up version of the natural tarnishing process.
Care Instructions
Tips for keeping your jewelry looking new for years to come!
Store your jewelry in an air-tight container when not being worn. Oxygen, moisture and other chemicals will tarnish or dull metals. Sterling Silver, when left out, will tarnish more quickly when exposed to air. Always store your Sterling pieces in an air-tight container when not wearing them. A jewelry bag, covered jewelry box, or small zip lock bag are great options.
TANGLES + KNOTSTo help prevent tangles + knots, close all clasps before storing. Storing necklaces separately works great.
CHEMICALSAvoid prolonged exposure in chlorine, pools, hot tubs and spas. To clean, gently shine with a Sunshine® Polishing Cloth for 14 Kt Gold-Filled + Sterling Silver
BRASS Our brass cuffs have a layer of sealer on them to prevent them from tarnishing. Over time this sealer may wear off, but we've been making the cuffs for over 8 years and haven't had any issues.
